The idea of the video is to show the viewers what a skateboarder does and wears in his everyday life. An aspect of skateboarding has always been about photographing and videoing the action so I will use the video medium because I believe that its’ visual and auditory elements and sense of movement will appeal to my demographic. The videos will show a skateboarder wearing a “SPIN COOL” t-shirt and using a skateboard with an intricate design. The skateboarder will be in motion but will be seen in the same position multiple times during the entire duration of the video, making the scene intentionally repetitive. The logo, “SPIN COOL”, will be shown at the end of the 30-second video and will be animated. The video will be created as continuous loop. Since I am promoting my brand, “SPIN COOL” in this project, the use of looping and repetition was chosen as an advertising technique to emphasize the idea and for brand recall.
